Welcome to the St Andrews Executive Travel
Driver Information Site
PARKING AND SPEED IN THE YARD
Each company vehicle has its allocated bay in the Yard, and when a vehicle is taken, your own vehicle (if you have one) should be parked in that allocated space. We fully understand that space within the Yard is extremely limited so it is important that where possible, you park in your allocated bay if this is vacant. This is company policy, and it is important that all other spaces are kept for non-driving staff (office, workshop) and also visitors.
It is CRITCALLY important that speed is kept to an absolute minimum whilst in the Yard, and priority should always be given to any vehicles attempting to reverse and/or complete a manoeuvre. As a professional courtesy, please help your fellow colleagues if they are going to to manoeuvre a vehicle. Remember and agree on any signals before proceeding with this. It is always good practice to use high visibility vests that are in the drivers room, especially with the darker nights.
BEING A RESPECTFUL DRIVER
It is vitally important to remember that as soon as you sit in that drivers seat and pull that SAX uniform on, you are representing the company and its reputation. Remember the branded logo on the side of the coach that you are being trusted to represent - particularly as you are on camera!
The Highway Code must be followed strictly as you would when driving your own vehicle.

Please also be mindful of where you park your coach when you are not with your clients. With checking legality of where you are parking, you should also be respectful to residents around you. Although parking a large coach outside someones front window may not be illegal, it is disrespectful and may warrant some complaints from members of the public.
WORK DRESS CODE
The dress code for work is smart casual. If you are on golf transfers, or a golf tour, it is absolutely encouraged/recommended to wear golfing gear. Under some circumstances, you will be provided with tour operator specific clothing, and this should be worn when on that specific tour. If you are providing conference transport, a shirt and tie should be worn. It should be reminded that trainers, jeans and shorts are not permitted to be worn under any circumstances.
LITTER AND DRIVERS AREA
There are landfill, glass, and cardboard bins situated next to the wash bay. Where possible, we ask that any rubbish is emptied and recycled of appropriately prior to your return to the Yard. It is important recycling is done correctly and that bins are not contaminated - each bin is clearly marked with what should and shouldn't be put in them. In the past, there have been significant clean-up operations take place due to rubbish being thrown over the fence into private land. This is unacceptable, and as a result, CCTV has increased. Anyone found to be littering anywhere in the Yard will be met with disciplinary action. In addition, all drivers will be allocated a locker in the drivers room. Any important paperwork will be put there - such as allocations, letters, airport signs etc. You should be reminded that it is the law that there should be no smoking/vaping in the building anywhere.
