Cleanliness of Vehicles

IMPORTANT NOTE

It is compulsory to complete a pre-tour and post-tour cleanliness form in order to determine how clean the vehicle is you are receiving to do your tour, and also to provide written confirmation you have cleaned the vehicle after you have used it. These can be found in the drivers room and should be handed to the office upon completion.

In addition, the successful trial of pre and post tour videos prior to leaving the Yard will mean this process will continue into 2025. This is to provide us with indication of the vehicle condition (in terms of damage and cleanliness) upon receival prior to your tour and dropping after a tour. All pre and post tour videos should be sent across to the on call phone. Taking photos and videos of all damage will help if we notice new damage in covering your own back and for us to get a better indication of when this actually occurred. The pre and post tour videos are compulsory.

At the start of 2024, the pressure washer machine was replaced meaning we have a brand new lance that also allows you to spray foam on vehicles to break up the dirt, prior to hosing it down. Once pulling the retractable hose out,  you should simply turn the black extension on the lance and this enables the snow foam, likewise turn it back to go back to normal water.

You should only be on the wash bay if you are washing the exterior of the vehicle.

If you are unloading or cleaning the inside, please move elsewhere so others can use the wash bay.

Please note that office staff regularly spot check coaches that have recently completed hires/tours, so will keep a close eye on this as the season progresses.

CLEANING THE INSIDE OF YOUR VEHICLE

  • When cleaning the inside of your vehicle, please park in front of the garage door nearest the office, or alternatively in your vehicles allocated space.

  • Particular attention should be paid to high usage areas cleaned with antibacterial spray or wipes.

  • Vehicle floors should be brushed, hoovered and mopped where appropriate, with windows left clean (glass cleaner can be provided)

  • During hires that have waiting times at destinations this time should be used to deep clean any area inside the coach that may need it.

  • Clean as you go, you will save yourself time in the end!
