If you are in a hurry or do not fancy a sit-down meal why not try the highly regarded 'chippy' next door: 'The Wee Hurrie' The cosy wooden interior of MacCallums with sailing memorabilia on the wall is like their menu: clean, concise and hugely appealing.
ELLIOTS BAR: 01292 677677: Stunning decor, a laid-back atmosphere and an unsurpassed selection of freshly prepared dishes. Serving food until late, the restaurant is just the place to relax and dine after a long day on the golf course. A popular addition to Elliott's, is the outdoor terrace with fully heated seating area with a state-of-the-art plasma screen for those who want to watch the big match.
OLD LOANS INN: 01294 204040: The public bar and restaurant centres around the authentic fireplace recreated out of stone from the original building. Using Scottish produce from the local Ayrshire larder the team have created inspiring dishes and snacks to enjoy all day every day. The quality of product and service was recognised when Tam Cowan, the Daily Record's restaurant critic of the Year, gave the Old Loans Inn an 'unbeatable 25/25' after his visit. Friday night is Steak Night.
