LITTLE ITALY: 01334 479299 Recently opened, Little Italy is a real hidden gem in St Andrews. Reservations are essential at this small restaurant, which is a fabulous spot, with very professional staff and the best Italian food in town. When you enter the restaurant, it feels like you have walked into an authentic family restaurant in Italy.


PLAYFAIRS: 01334 472970 One of the oldest and most established restaurants in town which continues to offer great value for high end casual dining as well as a very friendly atmosphere.


ONE UNDER GASTRO PUB: 01334 473393 The One Under is where pub meets restaurant. Everything on the menu is specifically chosen and tasted by their very own Confrerie di Gustevin, Sue Leslie and owner Adrian Piericcini.


ZIGGYS: 01334 473686 Being the only themed restaurant in town, founded in 1983, Ziggy's is one of the longest established privately owned businesses in town. Situated in Murray Place, Ziggy's is a short walk from most Guesthouses and the golf course. With Rock Memorabilia lining the walls, this a great stop for those after some American style dining.


THE PEAT INN: 01334 840206 The Peat Inn is owned by award winning Chef and columnist Geoffrey Smeddle and his wife Katherine who have successfully built the fine reputation of one of Scotland's most cherished destinations. This award-winning restaurant - included in the Good Hotel Guide 2013 and highly commended by the AA and Britain's Finest - guests are offered that special, personal experience that is the hallmark of the Peat Inn.

JIGGER INN: 01334 474371 This historic and world-famous building is steeped in history, where the station master's lodge heritage lives on. Voted in the Famous Grouse Top 100 Famous Pubs in the UK 2011, the Jigger Inn, fondly referred to as the 'town's best 19th hole' is a must stop for all. Even if it is just to sample their own 'Jigger Inn' ale.


INN AT LATHONES: 01334 840494 The restaurant has held 2 AA Rosettes over a fourteen-year period and is proud to offer its customer's great food that is from the local area. Undergoing changes over the years, the Inn at Lathones now offers a much less formal style of dining.


THE BOTHY: 01334 477422 The Bothy is a quintessential Scottish bolthole, tucked away in a cosy corner of Church Square offering traditional Scottish cuisine.


THE TAILEND: 01334 474070: The Tailend is not your average chippy: the range of fish: from Fraserburgh langoustine to Smokies, can be grilled, battered or breaded. With a full seating restaurant in the back, or the carry out at the front there is something to suit both needs. 


THE ANSTRUTHER FISH BAR: 01333 310518: Located on the Anstruther harbour about ten miles from St Andrews, this small, informal restaurant has been voted the best fish and chips in all of Britain. The other seafood offerings are equally delicious, and this is well worth the 20-to-25-minute drive. Please note that during peak season, you could wait up to an hour to be seated here, as reservations are not taken. The Anstruther Fish Bar also offer a driver deal, should your group eat there. (if the driver brings 4 or more people to sit in, or 6 or more for takeaway, the driver will be entitled to a free supper up to the value of Fish and Chips).
